    Kiersted / Systems was founded by George Kiersted in 1984 with a goal to provide top notch customized legal technology solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments. Today, with more than 20 years of experience successfully servicing legal teams under pressure, we have the knowledge and the expertise to address any legal technology-related need.

    Kiersted / Systems employs a dedicated team of 45 skilled employees to serve your every legal technology need.

  • Has Kiersted / Systems worked with a company like mine?

    Yes! We have worked with both law firms and legal departments within businesses of all sizes-from small private companies to top Fortune global firms-across a diverse range of industries.

  • Do you have multiple locations?

    No, we are located in Houston, Texas. However, we are accustomed to providing the same exceptional service nationwide, regardless of our clients' location.

  • How are your services priced?

    We offer an easy to understand unit-based pricing structure and are committed to working with you to develop the best solution within your budget.

  • What is your system support structure?

    Standard support is available 8am to 8pm CST Monday-Friday. Designated project managers are available 24/7, as required.

  • Is your system customizable?

    Absolutely. Our ability to create customized solutions is what makes us who we are. Because we use our own proprietary software, we can adjust the application as necessary to meet your specific needs.

  • How fast can data be made available for review?

    Typically, your material is ready to review within 24 hours of receipt.

  • How quickly can the data be output/converted?

    We have an armada of more than 120 dedicated servers to speed all phases of processing. Output can be rendered at rates up to two million pages per day.

  • My last vendor converted all our Lotus Notes to Outlook. Is that necessary?

    No, nor is it desirable. Our system works directly with all Lotus Notes databases providing you with the most accurate data, and highest fidelity output available anywhere. Nothing is lost in translation!

  • What software do you use?

    We utilize our own proprietary software for all processing, including conversion, data processing, indexing, OCR, text extraction and output. We integrate high quality toolkits including OmniPage, DTSearch, and Desaware StorageTools. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, we use the latest Microsoft technology including SQL Server, Dot Net and operating systems.

  • How many reviewers does your system support?

    Our system is flexible and is practically unlimited. Utilizing our secure Citrix technology, and our ultra-high bandwidth connection to the Internet, we can rapidly add users as your review needs dictate.

  • How many documents can a reviewer review in a day?

    This ranges based on the depth of the review. In the case of simple review projects, we have seen clients review as many as 2,500 documents per reviewer per day. In one project on a tight timeline, 50 reviewers reviewed 800,000 documents in ten days.

  • How can I be assured that my documents are protected?

    Your documents are protected starting with robust physical security of our state-of-the-art data center, strict adherence to chain-of-custody controls, client dedicated network space, and highly effective network security including 64-bit encryption.

  • Does Kiersted / Systems offer paper discovery services?

    Our core focus is on electronic discovery, however, we routinely integrate images and data from paper, and act as a coordinator of third party services for imaging and coding. Our hosted platform is ideal for a mix of paper and electronic material.

  • How can you help us track certain characteristics of individuals billing on matters such as minority status?

    Yes, we'll work with you to identify the characteristics important to you and help modify your system to capture, track and report the information easily.

  • Our system is up and running, but we don’t seem to be getting the reports we need. What can we do?

    We'll help you develop the reporting system you need for your requirements. We have expertise in Business Objects and other tools.

  • We just acquired a company and wish to integrate our systems.
