Kiersted / Systems to Present Legal Hold Management at Interact 2010
Peer-Driven Forum Will Provide Practical Strategies Tested in the Marketplace
(February 17, 2010 -- Houston, TX) Kiersted / Systems, a seasoned leader in electronic discovery and legal technology consulting, has announced that it will present the latest technology for managing the Legal Hold process on May 17 during the Interact 2010 conference In Miami, Florida.
Amanda Heldt, Vice President of Consulting at Kiersted / Systems, will lead an expert panel that explores trends and current best practices to develop and implement a defensible and controlled strategy for legal hold management. Discussions will focus on improving compliance with judicial and governmental requests for evidence preservation. Entitled “Legal Hold Management - 7 Steps to Success,“ the session will address the issue from the perspective of both law firms and corporate legal departments. Kiersted legal technology consultants will also be available to provide additional guidance in the Interact exhibit hall.
According to Heldt, “Prompted by potential risks stemming from the inadvertent destruction of electronic or other documents, companies are instituting strict legal hold policies for the long-term handling of corporate data. Our clients want to ensure that documents are not destroyed, discarded, or changed, and they want to make the legal hold process internally trackable and externally enforceable. An effective litigation hold strategy should include ways that technology can help manage this issue.”
With over 15 years of extensive industry experience as a lead technical consultant and project manager, Amanda Heldt manages system design and implementation at Kiersted / Systems. She has supported the legal and corporate security departments of top global companies, facilitating software implementation, developing custom legal matter management systems and designing and implementing advanced security management systems. Heldt helps Kiersted clients maximize the value of their systems through proper configuration, maintenance and “tune-up” upgrades.
